GREEN COMMUNITY STRATEGY
A DRAFT Green Community Strategy has been prepared for the Municipality of Clarington. 

The Green Community Strategy aims to:

• Recognize the important role that communities play in affecting our immediate and long-term impact of the environment; and

• Set priorities for  sustainable planning and policy development in the Municipality of Clarington.

Each  of  the  six  (6)  priorities  identified in the DRAFT Green Community Strategy is  comprised  of  a  goal and  a  series  of  suggested actions,  policies,  programs,  and  projects  for  achieving  local  sustainability  and demonstrating leadership as a green community.

Before the Green Community Advisory Committee makes a final recommendation to Council, your feedback is important. Comment phase has closed as of May 24, 2010.
